"Changing Lives Through Love"

“God is light; In him there is no darkness...”

[1 John 1:5]

It is said you can have too much of a good thing. This may be true as it pertains to things that feed the flesh like ice cream. However you can never have too much of the things the feed the spirit and nothing feeds our soul better than the love of God. Welcome to the webpage of Lincoln UMC. Our church is a congregation that is purpose is found in our mission: changing lives through Love. God created all humanity in through the power of Love. Love is what makes it possible for us to have a relationship with God. Love is what makes it possible to love ourselves because we affirm our sacred value. Love is what makes it possible for us to love you, not because we know you but because you are known and loved by God. We believe that love is not just an empty platitude found on greeting cards and flowery sermons. Love is a  free expression of our humanity as we enjoy the grace of God by sharing unconditional love with each other. We are guided by biblical principles as understood through the lens of love expressed in the redeeming sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:6  (NIV)6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

We hope you enjoy the information found on this platform. Moreover we look forward to meeting you in person so we can express our love of God by loving you just because you are you.
